Today's recipe is Green Chicken. Green Chicken is also known as 'Hariyali Chicken'. There are various Indian dishes that are cooked using green paste. Today I
am going to share with you'll Green Chicken Recipe. Green Chicken is prepared using Chicken, Spinach (Palak), Coriander
leaves, Mint leaves and some spices.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg. Chicken pieces
- 1 cup Spinach (Palak) paste
- 2 tbsp. chopped Green Coriander
- Some Mint leaves
- 7-8 Garlic Cloves
- 3-4 Curry Leaves
- 3-4 Black Pepper
- 1 tsp. Cumin powder
- 2 Cloves
- 1 tsp. Dry Coriander
- Some Poppy Seeds
- Salt as per taste
- Ginger Garlic paste
- 1/2 cup Fresh Yogurt(Curd)
- 2 tbsp. White Butter
- Oil as required
Instructions:
First step is to marinate the chicken. Clean the chicken
pieces with water then add salt and some ginger garlic paste.
Mix it nicely and keep aside. Let it marinate for 2
hours.
Now lets make paste. Take grinder(mixer) add 2 tbsp. chopped
green coriander, some mint leaves, 7-8 garlic cloves, 3-4
curry leaves, 3-4 black pepper, 1 tsp. cumin powder, 2 cloves,
1 tsp. dry coriander and some poppy seeds. Now keep this paste
aside and make 1 cup of spinach (palak) paste in grinder. Mix
both ground pastes nicely.
After two hours of marination heat the pan add required oil
and put marinated chicken pieces and fry till it becomes
brown. Now add ground paste and mix. Saute for 3-4 minutes.
Add some salt and 1/2 cup yogurt(curd) and mix all the
ingredients. Put the gas on low flame. Cover the pan with lid
and cook for 6-7 minutes. Saute it in between. Now remove
the lid and add 2 tbsp. white butter. Cook this for some time
till it becomes somewhat dry. Your Green Chicken is now ready
to serve.
Tip: Eating with Laccha Paratha makes it more
tasty.
