Veg Frankie is prepared using Roti, Mixed Veggies, Cheese, Sauce, etc. It is one of the most famous street food originated from Kolkata streets. Mostly Roti is rolled by stuffing it with mixed veggies, but this recipe is little different. This is made by folding it in a triangle shape by filling it with mixed veggies.
Veg Frankie is one of the kids friendly recipe. It can be prepared for tiffin box, Breakfast or as Evening snacks.
Ingredients required to make Veg Frankie
For Dough
- 1 cup Wheat Flour
- Water as required
- Salt
For stuffing
- 1 Chopped Tomato
- 1 Boiled pieces of Potato
- 1/2 Chopped Capsicum
- Some Chopped Coriander Leaves
- Veg Mayonnaise
- Grated Cheese
- Chat Masala
- Oil as required
- Butter

Instructions to make Veg Frankie
Preparing Roti
In a bowl, add wheat flour and add a pinch of salt. Mix it and add water.
Knead it perfectly to make dough of it. Keep the dough aside for half an hour.
Now make small round balls of it and roll it to a roti. Heat pan and place
rolled roti. Turn roti and fry it nicely on the other side and keep it
aside. (Don't fry roti directly on gas flame)

Further process
Now on a plate, place fried roti. Cut one forth portion of it. (Like how shown
in the picture)
Now apply veg mayonnaise, add chopped onion, boiled potato pieces, chopped
tomato, chopped capsicum, and on last portion add chopped coriander leaves.
Now add grated cheese and sprinkle some chat masala. Check out image step by

Now heat pan and fry it by applying butter till it become golden brown.
Veg Frankie is ready to serve.
Tip: You can also apply Tomato Ketchup or Shezwan Sauce instead of
Veg Mayonnaise.
