Veg Pulao

Veg pulao is prepared using some veggies such as onion, tomato, chili, carrot, etc and some spices such as cloves, black pepper, cinnamon, and cumin seeds. It is usually prepared by everyone at home. This pulao perfectly goes with Indian Raita or any other curry. This is very quick and simple to prepare. Check out Prawns Pulao Recipe.
 
Ingredients:

- 1 tsp. Cumin Seeds

- 3-4 Cloves

- 3-4 Black Cloves

- Piece of Cinnamon

- 1 Medium size chopped Onion

- 1 Chopped Tomato

- 1/2 Chopped Green Chili

- 1 Chopped Carrot

- 1 tsp. Turmeric Powder

- Salt as per taste

- 1 Magi Cube

- 1 1/2 Cup Basmati Rice

- 3 Cups Water

- Oil as required

Instructions:

Wash the basmati rice nicely and soak it in required water for about 30 minutes. Drain out the water completely from basmati rice after 30 minutes. Keep it aside.

Heat pan, add oil, add cumin seeds, add black pepper and cinnamon. Saute it for some time, add chopped onion and chopped green chili. Now add a pinch of salt. Salt makes onion soft. Fry onion till it become soft and brownish. 

Now add chopped tomato and chopped small pieces of carrot. Cook this veggies properly. Now add turmeric powder, add salt and magi cube.  Mix this ingredients nicely and add rice to the mixture. Mix the rice. Simultaneously boil 3 cups of water (add water according to the rice). Now add boiling water to the rice mixture. Again mix and cover it with lid. Cook this on medium flame for about 15 minutes. Our Veg pulao is ready. Serve it hot with Indian Raita.

Tip: Add Green peas to the pulao.
