Hello, I am here to share another simple recipe of Prawn Pulao. It is called
as 'Sungta Pulao'. This is a basic dish prepared in most Indian
homes for their meal. Less spicy more tasty. This is very simple to make. You
can also check
Dry Prawns Rice (सोडे à¤ात). Now lets begin.
Ingredients:
To cook Rice
- 1 cup Basmati Rice
- 2 Cloves
- 2 Black Peppers
- Piece of Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp. Salt
Other Ingredients
- 1 Medium size sliced Onion
- 1 Chopped Tomato
- Pinch of Cumin Seeds
- 1 Medium size finely chopped Onion
- 1 Chopped Green chili
- Ginger Garlic Paste (1 inch Ginger and 7-8 Garlic Cloves)
- Chopped Coriander Leaves
- Oil as required
- Salt as per taste
- Prawns
Instructions:
Firstly wash the prawns nicely. Add some salt and keep it aside.
To cook Rice
Firstly wash the rice and soak it for half hour. Now boil the water by adding
all the above ingredients given to cook rice. Now add the soaked rice to the
boiling water. Cook the rice completely and drain it in a colander. Keep
it aside. You can also cook rice in pressure cooker.
Further Process
Now lets fry onion and tomato. Heat the pan, add oil and add sliced onion.
Saute it till the onion become soft. Now add chopped tomato. Saute it for some
time till tomato and onion, cook perfectly. Now remove it on a plate and keep
it aside.
Now in the same pan, add some oil if required. Add cumin seeds, chopped onion,
chopped green chili and ginger garlic paste. Saute it for some time. Add a
pinch of salt. Let onion become translucent and soft. Now add prawns. Saute it
for some time. Cook the prawns perfectly. Now add cooked rice and add fried
onion and tomato. Mix all the ingredients and add chopped coriander
leaves.
Tip: You can also add green peas if you like.
