The fried Buns are famous in Goa
and some parts of Karnataka. Buns are a popular breakfast or evening snack
which is prepared using ripened bananas and all purpose flour. Banana Buns
taste sweet. Buns are one of the healthy breakfast. Buns are nothing but fried
banana Poori (Puri).
Ingredients:
- 2-3 Ripened Banans
- 2 tsp. Sugar
- 1/4th Cup Yogurt
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- Pinch of Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 Cups Wheat Flour
- 1 tsp. Oil for dough
- Oil as required to fry Banana Buns

Instructions:
In a bowl, add ripened bananas, mash it using a spoon. Now add sugar to it to
sweet taste. Mash it or grind it in mixer. Add yogurt (curd), cumin seeds,
baking soda, and salt. Mix all the ingredients well. Then add wheat flour and
make a smooth dough of it. Knead it for about 5 minutes. After this add oil to
the dough. Cover it and Keep it aside for 8 hours to rest.
After 8 hours, dough size will become slightly bigger. Knead it slightly and
make a small ball sized dough. Dust it with some wheat flour and roll it
slightly thick, then poori (puri). Deep fry the buns in hot oil. Serve it
hot with coconut chutney.
Tip: You can use Maida flour instead of Wheat flour.
