A Clam is a type of Shellfish, which is called as "Tisri" in Konkani. Tisryache Dangar is a combination of grated Coconut, Cleaned Clams (Tisri), Chopped onion and some basic ingredients. There are many other Goan dishes can be prepared using Clams such as Clams Masala Dry (Tisyache Sukhe), Goan Clams Curry etc.
How to make Tisryache Dangar | Clams Cutlet
Ingredients required to make Tisryache Dangar | Clams Cutlet
- 1 Cup Cleaned Clams (Tisryo)
- 1 cup Grated Coconut
- 3 Medium Chopped Onions
- 2 tbsp. Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves
- 1 tsp. Ginger Garlic paste
- 1 tbsp. Garam Masala
- 1 tsp. Lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp. Rawa
- 1 tbsp. Rice Flour
- 1 Finely Chopped Green Chili
- 1 tsp. Red Chili Powder
- 1/2 tsp. Turmeric Powder
- Salt as per taste
- Rawa to fry cutlets
- Oil as required to fry cutlets

Instructions to make Tisryache Dangar | Clams Cutlet
Firstly, open the clams using knife and separate the flesh and shell. Wash it
thoroughly and rinse. Keep it aside.
Now in a plate, add Grated Coconut, Chopped onions, Finely chopped coriander
leaves, Ginger garlic paste, Garam masala, Lemon juice, Rawa, Rice flour,
Chopped green chili, Red chili powder, Turmeric powder and Salt. Mix all the
ingredients very well and lastly add washed clams (Tisryo). Again mix and keep
it aside for 15 minutes.

Now make round shape and flatten them to cutlet shape. Heat pan, add oil and
apply rawa to the cutlet and shallow fry.

Tip: You can also use Homemade masala instead of Garam Masala.
