How to make Chicken Do Pyaza

Chicken Do Pyaza is a mouth watering dish. This dish has unique taste. This dish is named as Chicken Do Pyaza because onion is used two times in this dish. Firstly, it is fried with spices and second time onion pieces are added towards the end.

Ingredients:

Ingredients required for marination

- 750 gms Chicken

- 1 tsp. Red Chili Powder

- 1 tbsp. Ginger Garlic paste

- 1 tsp. Lemon juice

Other ingredients

- 2 tbsp Butter

- 1 tsp. Cumin seeds

- 4 Medium sized Chopped Onion

- 1 tbsp. Ginger Garlic paste

- 1/2 tsp. Turmeric Powder

- 2 Medium sized Chopped Tomatoes

- Salt as per taste

- 1/2 cup Curd

- 1 tbsp. Red Chili powder

- 1 tbsp. Coriander powder

- 1 tsp. Cumin powder

- 200 ml Water

- 2 Medium sized Onion Petals

- 2 Medium sized Tomatoes (square pieces)

- 2-3 Sliced Green Chilies

- 1 tsp Garam Masala

- 1 tsp Black pepper powder

- Chopped Coriander leaves

Instructions:

Firstly marinate the chicken pieces. In a bowl, add chicken pieces, add some salt, add red chili powder, ginger garlic paste and lemon juice. Mix everything perfectly and keep it to marinate for about 1 hour.

Lets make curd mixture. In a bowl, add curd, Red chili powder, coriander powder and cumin powder. Mix it nicely. Keep it aside.  

Now in a pan, add butter and Cumin seeds. Mix it and add chopped onion. Cook onion till it becomes translucent. Now add ginger garlic paste and turmeric powder. Cook this for some time till it become golden brown. Now add chopped tomatoes and add salt as per taste. Mix everything and cook tomatoes properly until oil released. 

Before adding curd make the gas flame low. Add curd mixture and mix it. Cook it for some time it will release oil. Now add marinated chicken pieces. Again mix chicken pieces and cook it on medium flame for about 10-15 minutes. Now add water, cover and cook it. Keep stirring in between. Cook it till chicken cook perfectly.

Now add Onion petals, square pieces of tomatoes, sliced green chilies, garam masala and black pepper powder. Mix this and cook for another 5-6 minutes. Now add chopped coriander leaves again mix it and serve it hot. Enjoy your meal.

Tip: You can also add Kasuri Methi after adding garam masala.
