How to make Wheat Cheese Garlic Naan without Maida and yeast | Tawa Wheat Cheese Garlic Naan

Cheese Garlic Naan is one of the favorite dish of all. When you go the Indian restaurant you always end up your lunch or dinner by ordering Cheesy Naan, Butter Naan or Paratha. The combination of Cheese Garlic Naan and Butter Chicken is mouth watering. Isn't it? 

Cheese Garlic Naan is a soft flatbread which is prepared using all purpose flour but, I will use Wheat instead of all purpose flour, Curd, Garlic, Cheese, Butter etc. Actually it is prepared using Tandoor but I will use Tawa. 


Wheat Cheese Garlic Naan 


Ingredients required to make Cheese Garlic Naan

- 2 Cups Wheat

- 1 tsp Baking Soda

- 1 tbsp Sugar

- 2 tbsp Milk Powder

- 1//4th  tsp Salt

- 1/4th Cup Curd

- 180 ml Warm Water (or as required to knead)

- 1 tsp Ghee

- Oil

- 1 Cup Grated Cheese

- 1/3rd Cup Chopped Garlic 

- 1 tbsp Chopped Mint

- 2 tbsp Chopped Coriander Laeves

- 1 tbsp Chopped  Green Chili

- Some Kalonji

Instructions to make Cheese Garlic Naan


Preparation of Dough

Lets first make dough using wheat. In a bowl add wheat, Baking Soda, Sugar, Milk Powder, and Salt. Mix them all together. Now add curd and combine all ingredients. Then add warm Water, and start mixing. Knead it perfectly for about 20 minutes. Add ghee to the dough to make it more smooth. When the dough is ready, apply some more ghee on top and cover it with damp cloth and rest for 1 hour. After one hour press the dough and release air. Now make round balls of dough (Little bigger than Roti balls). Apply oil to the balls and let it rest for more 10 minutes.

Cheese Garlic Naan Stuffing

In a bowl, add Grated Cheese,  Chopped Garlic, Mint, Coriander Leaves and Green Chili. Mix them all together. Cheese garlic Naan stuffing is ready.

Further Process

Keep tawa on low gas flame. Now take a wheat ball, Keep a wheat flour aside for dusting. Flatten it using roti roller. Roll out each ball into a 4 inch diameter. Now place some stuffing and bring edges of it together in the center and pinch it. Similarly like how modak stuffing is done. Now dust it and gently roll it to the size of Naan. 

Add some Kalonji on it and place more stuffing to it and gently press. Turn it and apply water by using brush on the other side and place the water side on heated tawa for 2-3 minutes. Now, turn tawa upside down and cook naan directly on a gas flame till it become golden brown. Gently remove naan from tawa. Apply Butter to it. Wheat Cheese Garlic Naan is ready to serve..
